Design

Design for furniture projects is where Oxford Contracts seeks to meet the aspirations of the Architect or Specifier and combine them with the expectations of the Client.

In principle, this means matching these various interests to achieve the best overall design for a furniture project and in sympathy with the building itself.

In practice, whilst it is invariably more cost effective to specify our standard product, there is always the scope to specify what may be regarded as iconic design furniture.  Importantly, our design and manufacturing resources allow flexibility in producing furniture more specific to the requirements of a project without any compromise in quality.

We are able to offer a full design service with CAD/CAM and the production of sample product and design ideas.

For an understanding of the sourcing please see the dedicated section on this.

New Designs

We are currently featuring our new design for a modular write-up desk which can be assembled in either single configurations or in multiple linked desks.  On several projects we have worked on, write-up desks have been part of the build project using traditional joinery methods.  Although, in our opinion, this has produced attractive products in sympathy with the building itself, it hasn't produced a future-proof design.

Our new range of write-up desks can be finished in different materials and is featured here with end panels which can be matched to surrounding decor and other furniture.

New Chair Designs

We are also pleased to introduce two new chairs which are suitable for many different environments and are part of our fast-expanding visitor and meeting room range.
